Copyright & takedowns
If something in the skin library is yours and shouldn't be here, tell us and we'll remove it.
How to report a skin
Email [email protected] with the subject line “Takedown request”. Include:
1. The link to the skin page (the /skin/… URL).
2. Where the original lives, or how you can be identified as its creator.
3. A statement that you believe the use is not authorised by you, the copyright owner, or the law.
4. Your name and a contact address.
We act on complete requests within three business days. You do not need an account, and you do not need a lawyer to send one.
What we host, and where it comes from
Every skin in the library records where it came from: skins created with Photo2Skin by the account that published them, skins uploaded directly by their creators, and skins observed on public Minecraft profiles through Mojang's public API. Skins in that last group are attributed as “first seen on” a player and are never presented as authored by us or by any Photo2Skin account.
Because provenance is stored per skin, a takedown is a single removal — we do not need to investigate to act.
Faster: the report button
For anything that is not a copyright claim — offensive content, hate symbols, spam, impersonation — use the flag icon on the skin page. It reaches the same queue and usually gets looked at sooner.
Counter-notice
If your skin was removed and you believe that was a mistake, reply to the removal email explaining why. We will restore anything taken down in error and tell you when we have.
